I’m a Disney fanatic myself, so with countless of my core childhood memories being at Disneyland, I feel like I’m an almost-expert on magical experiences □. Save money by not eating on the premises - much better food at better prices elsewhere. Thus, I can confidently say the Great Wolf Lodge gives families a truly MAGICAL experience, on a smaller, more budget-friendly, and yet unforgettable scale! If Holiday Inn Express can have insanely more comfortable beds and bedding, then what's GWL's excuse?ĭon't bother coming here unless you have kids who really want to go and there's a serious coupon/Groupon for your stay. If they had a designated bar/tavern area for adults to relax while the kids were at the pool, I'd maybe rate this place a little higher. Restaurant was insane - beers were very funky/dirty taplines and all good seemed to just be fried/reheated from frozen and sold at a ridiculous mark-up. Staying in the room was the best experience - water park was just not fun, more or less anywhere comfortable for adults to sit (maybe their outdoor park is better?). Decided to go during a random mid-week in February and it was still busy here. We booked a hot tub suite here for a couple's retreat since I had some credits to use up.
